Nights of “Farra” in Guayaquil
The nights in the Pearl of the Pacific, are
surrounded by movement, lights, color, live
shows, in the main streets or in any corner of
our city, but definitively we should emphasize
the word that is well related to Guayaquil is
“FARRA” which means “to go out for a good time”,
binge, spree, party, etc. Who would think that
such a short word describes a world full of fun,
adrenaline, music and dances, yes, especially
dances, who hasn’t gone out to dance and hasn’t
been infected by the surrounding movements, at
the rhythm of the famous musical themes of the
moment, if it is not “reguetton” or “perreo”, it
could be any other rhythm, the song doesn’t
matter, nor the place ,not even de hour, the
important thing is to go out with your friends
or your “panas” (budies), (typical word used in
Guayaquil) to a place which will offer and
guarantee an excellent, crazy and fun night.
Traditionally, Guayaquil is known not only for being the
most active (commercial) city of Ecuador, but also for
being a branch of entertainment, and pleasure, surrounded
by bars, mini-bars, restaurants, Discos, among other
excellent places which allow local and tourist have fun
until dawn. We also shouldn’t forget to mention the warmth
and sympathy of the people in Guayaquil, who make foreigners
feel at home, just a few words of encouragement and they are
ready to party.
